Lilly is a 18 year old registered Icelandic mare that has spent the last 8 years working with children and adults with disabilities at Hearts Adaptive Riding Center in Santa Barbara,CA. Her calm demeanor, intelligence and smooth gaits make her perfect for this job. She gives independent riders a challenge and never takes a wrong step with a rider on a leadline. In the photo, Lilly has just spent the day with children that are non verbal that were allowed to actually paint on her, as a way to express their creativity. She stood still and calm and let the future artists use her as their canvas. Platinum not only helps horses that have physically demanding jobs they also help horses that have jobs of another sort. Empowering and fostering independence in riders with disabilities.
