Todd Bergen and “Smart Luck” Win NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Open Hackamore

We would like to congratulate Todd Bergen and “Smart Luck” for their win in the Open Hackamore class last week. Many of you may remember seeing Todd show “Smart Luck” in the futurity last year. This year they really pulled it all together taking the win! We are very proud of our Platinum client and wish him the best of luck at the upcoming Idaho Futurity.

Congratulations to the 2009 Snaffle Bit Futurity Champions

Congratulations to Zane Davis on his 2009 Snaffle Bit Futurity Open Championship on Reymanator. Zane was leading the pack during the preliminaries and scored a 218.5 in the herd work and a 214 in the rein work. That meant it all came down to the cow work. The crowd held their breath as Zane was last to go and scored a 220 in the cow work, taking the win. Splitting second, was Boyd Rice and Picka Patcha Pepto and Todd Crawford and Shiners Nickel, with identical scores of 446.5. We would like to congratulate all of the 2009 Snaffle Bit Futurity Contestants on their successes.

Cow Horse Trainer Robbie Boyce and “Soft N Shiney”

I know Robbie Boyce is a trainer. But he is also more, he is a horseman. The unassuming Texas transplant has been a fixture in the NRCHA for quite some time, and has spent time training with some of the best in the business. Now, Robbie is someone that other people want to ride with. His humble manner and great eye make him a perfect training partner. Here he talks about the demands placed on a Reined Cow Horse and how his program gets horses, like Soft N Shiney ready to compete.

Boyd Rice Joins Team PLATINUM
