Congratulations to Zane Davis on his 2009 Snaffle Bit Futurity Open Championship on Reymanator. Zane was leading the pack during the preliminaries and scored a 218.5 in the herd work and a 214 in the rein work. That meant it all came down to the cow work. The crowd held their breath as Zane was last to go and scored a 220 in the cow work, taking the win. Splitting second, was Boyd Rice and Picka Patcha Pepto and Todd Crawford and Shiners Nickel, with identical scores of 446.5. We would like to congratulate all of the 2009 Snaffle Bit Futurity Contestants on their successes.

Boyd Rice wins 2009 NCHA Summer Spectacular Derby

Platinum client Boyd Rice takes NCHA Super Spectacular win on Third Cutting. Boyd marked a 228.5 for a half-point win over Dont Look Twice, ridden by Phil Rapp in the Open Division of the NCHA Derby. Third Cutting is a son of Boonlight Dancer owned by Carl and Shawnea Smith of Jacksboro, Texas. We want to Congratulate Boyd and Third Cutting on their spectacular win!

Actually, Boyd has been a Platinum Performance Client for several years. But, recently, he was formally asked to be part of the Team. He has been on a string of successes for the past several years that would rival any Cutter or Reined Cowhorse trainer out there, including a winning run at the 2009 NCHA Super Stakes that many people are calling the best cutting run they have ever seen.
