My horse Uganda, I got her when she was five and came straight from pasture. She is a Holsteiner and loves to jump. Just two year she got a suspensory in her hind right leg. My vet then told me to get a vet stem cell procedure and to put her on the Platinum Osteon to help heal her leg. Hardin Wins $20,000 Grand Prix on Platinum’s Pedro

Santa Ynez Valley, California, March 24, 2010—Platinum Performance (http://www.platinumperformance.com) team member, Kristin Hardin wins $20,000 Scottsdale Spring Festival Grand Prix riding Platinum’s Pedro on Saturday, March 20, 2010.

Hardin claimed victory in the premiere class of the Arizona show, a 1.4 meter jumper class, on her aptly-named 19-year-old gelding Platinum’s Pedro. Although she is no stranger to winning, the accomplished hunter/jumper trainer and competitor doesn’t take it for granted.

“It’s very rewarding to win. I feel very happy for my horse that he gets the accolades he deserves. It’s a great feeling to have him do that well at his age,” said Hardin.

Hardin purchased “Pedro” nine years ago as a horse with the classic underdog story. He had literally been around the world and didn’t have the best reputation. She changed his feeding program, and then his name to Platinum’s Pedro, just knowing that she could make a star out of him. And, that she did; he has proved himself with a nearly perfect show record and lifetime earnings of almost $75,000.

She attributes her success to good care and a consistent training program. She explained that Platinum’s Pedro doesn’t go on any medications; he just eats his Platinum.

We would like to congratulate Theodore Boris who claimed the Platinum Performance/USEF Show Jumping Talent Search West Coast Finals Championship at the Los Angeles International Horse Show on September 20, 2009. Theodore claimed the title on the strength of his consistent performance in the Final Ride-Off Phase – where the top four competitors ride their own horse and then each of the other competitors horses over the same course. Platinum Advisor, Sarah Periera, who attended the West Coast Finals commented,”The show was amazing! The competition was so tough. It was exciting to meet all of the young riders and hear about their Platinum horses.”

Congratulations also goes to Matthew Metell who claimed the Platinum Performance/USEF Show Jumping Talent Search East Coast Finals Championship in Gladstone, NJ on October 4, 2009. This year the Finals – East had a record number of entries with 97 riders completing all three Phases. After many near-perfect rounds,  Matthew Metell was victorious. Sir Songi D’Oro (Smokey Joe) is a 9 year old Thoroughbred Gelding who has been very successful in making a winning mark on the Zone 7 USEF and Greater Oklahoma Jumper Divisions. Until adding Platinum performance to our daily routine, Smokey Joe had problems maintaining a healthy weight. (a race horse at heart) Now, his muscles are well developed and he has a beautiful shiny bay coat. He is a very kind hearted and loves to navigate the jumper courses with ease. Any Wonder is a 5 year old Hanoverian.  I imported him as a weedy 3 year old from Germany.  Since importation, he was fed Platinum Performance.  At his first series of AA rated shows, he was Pre-green Circuit Champion.  He won the majority of the classes including several hacks. Thank you!

Avery Lea Griffin- Abita Springs, La

Before I met Nicki, she was described to me as a rider that “rides more beautifully than anyone else”.  But, as a junior, she was given the nickname “Catch Riding Kid” for her ability to compete on horses she had never ridden and win. That’s a pretty good combination of assets.

Nicki has competed in the US, Mexico, Canada, and Europe with major wins and placings, culminating in 27 career Grand-Prix victories thus far.  The best part , though, is that she is a tremendously nice, sincere person.  Catch the video below where she talks about growing up in the competitive horse industry.

Ashlee Bond captured the Platinum Performance Leading Rider Award at HITS Thermal in 2009.  It came after  Bond won four grand prix classes with Cadett 7.  With Bond’s victory, she not only captured the award, but also earned precious FEI World Cup Points.  In addition, she received a one-year supply of Platinum Performance Equine Wellness & Performance formula.

“That’s awesome!” said Ashlee. “I use Platinum Performance products all the time!”  I have a feeling that this won’t be the last time we hear about Ashlee Bond winning.
