Sandra Griffenberg and “Starfleet”

Starfleet

Starfleet is a 23 year old thoroughbred whom I bought off the track as a 4 year old. Over the last 19 years, she has won many ribbons for me at dressage shows, jumping shows, and fun shows. As athletic and talented as she is, my favorite activity with her is trail riding. Three years ago she was kicked by another horse, and we discovered that she had a broken patella. This injury would normally mean a death sentence, but we found a great surgeon in Arizona who gave us a positive prognosis for the outcome of the surgery to remove the broken piece of bone. His only concern was that she would need to be able to stay on her feet for at least two weeks on a tie line to allow the incision to heal. We were able to keep this amazing horse on her feet for 6 weeks! After the surgery came a long recovery and rehabilitation process, but she never gave up. One of the unfortunate side effects of the surgery is that her high strung temperment caused her to have some digestive problems. After doing some research, I found the Platinum Performance website. I added the Platinum Performance to the probiotic I was giving her, and she just blossomed! She began putting on weight, her coat was soft and glowing, and her manure no longer looked like a cow patty. Her veterinarian was very happy with her condition and was pleased that I had put her on the Platinum Performance because that is one of the supplements he normally recommends. After seeing how well Starfleet responded to the Platinum Performance, some of my friends decided to try it on their horses. They have received compliments on their horse’s good condition too! Yesterday, as she and I enjoyed a nice canter through the beautiful Albuquerque bosque, I felt very grateful for all of the people who helped to bring her back to health. She is so strong and willing that my trainer is encouraging me to take her to a dressage show to compete. I look forward to many more years of fun with this lovely horse.
