Lilly

Lilly is a 18 year old registered Icelandic mare that has spent the last 8 years working with children and adults with disabilities at Hearts Adaptive Riding Center in Santa Barbara,CA. Her calm demeanor, intelligence and smooth gaits make her perfect for this job. She gives independent riders a challenge and never takes a wrong step with a rider on a leadline. In the photo, Lilly has just spent the day with children that are non verbal that were allowed to actually paint on her, as a way to express their creativity. She stood still and calm and let the future artists use her as their canvas. Platinum not only helps horses that have physically demanding jobs they also help horses that have jobs of another sort. Empowering and fostering independence in riders with disabilities.

Galaxy

Galaxy- 9 yr old off the track TB. After coming off the track Galaxy was turned in to a hunter/jumper. He went in and out of barns attempting to be sold, until he came to me. He was thin, under muscled, and shortly after I purchased him, he started tying up which was being caused by ulcers. I immediately started treating that and put him on Platinum Performance to help give his body the nutrients it needed to form the necessary muscle and help build his strength. Now, the ulcers are under control, his weight has leveled out and he looks like a true happy hunter. Thanks to Platinum Performance, Galaxy is a rockstar!

Hardy

Heartthrob, “Hardy” is such a cool horse. He is showing in the small older junior hunters with my daughter and, as his name says, he’s got more heart than any other horse I know! He’s always looking for attention and loves to nibble on whatever is near his mouth! He started his junior career just three shows ago. He’s never done 3′6″ before but boy can the boy jump! We almost didn’t buy him but there was just something about his personality that said “take me home with you, please”. He’ll do anything for you and always gives 110%. Hardy loves his Platinum Performance packs and we can really tell a difference is his stamina, coat and overall health. I’m so glad we found Platinum for him because for as much as he gives us we need to give him double in return!

Blackie

We call our Arabian gelding ”Blackie the Wonder Horse”. His registered name is Peace Maker V, and he is the best horse anyone could ask for. He loves going to shows and being groomed by our daughter. Arabians are sometimes shown with very long tails, and his is kept up in order to minimize breakage and keep the length. I used to feed several different supplements, but when I heard about Platinum Performance, I had to try it. From personal experience, I have found just how important proper nutrition is, and animals are no exception. After a short time, his coat got a bit darker and shinier, his mane and tail are thicker and his tail drags the ground by 15 inches! It covers his digestion, coat, joints and overall makes a huge difference. He also gets less feed now. I will be a lifetime user of P.P. The results are phenomenal!

Atlas

Atlas is the best horse in the world. He is my dressage partner and my best friend. I never gave up on him, and he never gives up on me. Atlas found me, and I took him home 2 ago, and we just started working regularly together. He came with severe thrush, then a check ligament in a warm up arena (dog hole)and a suspensory just 4 months later(in a sink hole in an indoor arena). I never rode another horse. I spend everyday with Atlas and now that we are on all 4 feet and are in training, he always goes the extra mile for me. He makes me laugh every day and knows I never gave up on him. Since taking Platinum Performace, he has never felt better. At 19, his is stronger that the 4 yr. olds in the ring. His vet says he has never looked better. He is sound, in good shape, and is ready for the dressage arena. Thank you to all who make this supplement available to us.

WDHA 0587

Safarr is my 16 yr old Arabian gelding with allergies. He’s receiving allergy shots–when he was tested we found he’s allergic to over 20 different things including grass hay, corn and cotton. I use the Platinum Peformance to help boost his immune system and health and help keep the itching and rubbing from his allergies under control. I owe my whole horse training business to Safarr, he was a problem horse (his nickname was Spaz) and I had to learn a better, not so “mainstream” way to train. With what I had to learn to make him a safe, confident horse a snowball effect began that launched me from amateur rider to a trainer with national award winning horses, most of which were problem horses. This is the first summer he’s been on the Platinum Peformance and so far he’s had no major allergy outbreaks!

G. Marvin Beeman, DVM and His Horse “Missy”

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

Dr. G. Marvin Beeman, is a Past President of the American Association for Equine Practitioners (AAEP).  He is also the 24th President of the Masters of Foxhounds Association (MFHA)—the first president of that association from west of the Mississippi River that is. In his welcoming address, Dr. Beeman said, “It is remarkable that the establishment of such a traditionally English sport could have expanded in to the West, among the roots of the cattlemen and cowboys.”  Hear about his history with the Araphoe Hunt Club below.

Bubby

This is my horse, Unbridled’s Catkan, AKA Bubby. Bubby is a registered Thoroughbred gelding foaled March 19, 2004 here on my farm in Montana. Bubby has been very special to me from the moment of his birth as his dam died foaling him and I became his instant mother. Besides being an orphan, Bubby was also a very sickly foal and that March was a cold, wet and windy one here in Montana. We had a very nice barn, but it was a metal building with no insulation. We putheat lamps up all around Bubby’s stall and went down to the local thrift store (more…)

Gus

I will start at the beginning and tell you a little about my horse Gus. A little over four years ago I started to dream of owning a horse again. You see I have owned in my youth (quite a distance from that now:) 3 wonderful, perfect horses that never put a step wrong, never ailed, and took care of me like I was made of eggshells. Which I technically am, I have Type 1 diabetes and various other issues that go along with this disease that makes riding a somewhat difficult endeavor. But however nervous my poor parents became, they let me continue my riding career until college put an end to extra finances and my horse at that time, Skip, was retired. That was back in 1989, and when he eventually passed away at a very old age (he enjoyed retirement immensely!) I put away childish things

Nicole Shahinian-Simpson and “SRF Dragonfly”

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

Before I met Nicki, she was described to me as a rider that “rides more beautifully than anyone else”.  But, as a junior, she was given the nickname “Catch Riding Kid” for her ability to compete on horses she had never ridden and win. That’s a pretty good combination of assets.

Nicki has competed in the US, Mexico, Canada, and Europe with major wins and placings, culminating in 27 career Grand-Prix victories thus far.  The best part , though, is that she is a tremendously nice, sincere person.  Catch the video below where she talks about growing up in the competitive horse industry.
