This is our APHA gelding, Mr. Ultimate. He was brought to us in 2006, on the verge of death from an unknown cause. He had massive vet care, biopsies and testing. Nothing was evident, just failure to thrive. I made a deal with my friend that owned the horse: if she was going to put him down, please give him to me, and I would try to nurse him back to health. She did. The day I brought him home I was afraid to open the trailer for fear that he had not survived the trip. The girl in the picture is my niece. The two bonded and within 6 months he had regained his health. With the help of Platinum, he is now the horse you see in the picture. He has his ROM in halter, and my niece won a buckle on him in trail last year. They love each other – he will do anything for her, and with the continued use of Platinum, I believe he will continue to thrive for many years to come, continuing to make this little girl’s heart shine.
