Many Platinum Performance clients don’t know that Platinum also manufactures amazing Canine supplements as well as products for the dog’s masters. Runners of both the Human and Canine kind took part in the 10th Annual Platinum Performance State Street Mile in Santa Barbara over the weekend. What an inspiring event it was!
The event was a huge success and has become a favorite in the California community because of it’s inspiring message. As several people on hand noticed, it was the most positive event they ever attended. Men, women, children, families and family pets run down the famed State Street in seven different races whose entrants range from Elite runners to Families and their pets, as in the famed Platinum Performance Dog Mile.
The Platinum Performance State Street Mile came to be in 2000, when the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office Victim Witness Assistance Program resurrected the popular event while raising funds for the District Attorney’s Crime Victim Emergency Fund. Every dollar of the entry fees translates into tangible help for victims: rent assistance for an elderly woman whose social security check was stolen; food, clothing and hotel expenses for a family escaping domestic violence; a therapeutic bike for a disabled man hit by a drunk driver, and repair costs for a victim’s vehicle that was stolen in the course of a bank robbery, just to name a few.
