Timmy is a 9 yr old Holsteiner/TB cross who I have owned for 3 yrs. He loves people and gawking is his favorite activity. His athleticism and huge personality are what attracted me to him. He is my first horse and we are training in dressage. At 54, I never dreamed I would buy a horse, but Timmy is that once-in-a-lifetime dream that came true! Platinum Performance is what keeps him strong, healthy and shiny! Love is what makes the partnership.
High Tor (Shady) was born 5/9/91 in NY Sate, descended from War Admiral. A racing injury ended her brief racing career but she was carefully rehabilitated and retrained to hunter equitation at If Only Farm where I was taking lessons as a returning adult rider aged 43. I first saw her as a 4-year old and admired her from afar. I thought, if only I could have a horse like that! There was something special about this pretty, 15.2h grey mare
Kippy is a father/daughter project born at our home 8 years ago. We wanted to breed our lovely built and minded mare with a Register of Merit from the Quarter Horse Assoication with a nice paint horse stud. My husband and daughter spent many hours pouring over the adds and photos of various studs and finally settled on an internet romance with a black and white paint out of Colorado. With our black mare we were hoping for a black and (more…)
Lindy Burch has accomplished more in the Cutting pen than I could possibly name here. Her awards and inductions are numerous. Watch as she shares how it all started for her as a girl, on a Sunday drive with the family, as they came upon a local cutting. It was the first time she had seen the sport.
This is my yearling filly, Prada Pine – we call her Thena. I have had to board her since I purchased her as a weanling. Boarding has presented a challenge in ensuring adequate and proper nutrition for a growing foal and yearling. I had a hair analysis done on her due to my concerns about what she was being fed. The results were not good. She was deficient in at least 8 areas and off the charts in others with arsenic showing in her system. Based upon that, my vet recommended Platinum Performance. I put her on it at the beginning of 2009 and wow has it made a difference. This is what she looks like now and when I had another analysis done, she is now only out of balance in one area which my vet says is easily addressed. Thank you Platinum Performance!!
It was no surprise when earlier this year, Sheila Varian was honored with 2008 USEF/Performance Horse Registry Leading Breeder Award. After all, over 70% of the Arabian show horses winning today carry Varian blood. But, unbelievably, she has bred 9 generations of horses since importing her first mare, Batchanka, back in 1961, and she can cite her foals family tree all the way back. It was an honor to sit down and listen to her amazing story.
“Tiny” is a five year old Doc A Lena / Peppy San Bager horse who LOVES music… and anything else we do with her. She also enjoys running barrels and Heeling. Tiny is the most amazing and unique horse i have ever come across! Thanks to Platinum Performance i can keep her going strong.
Top Set is quite a character. He is very interested in all that is going on and always looking for a way to push someone’s buttons. He is an off-the-track-thoroughbred who is now 4 years old. He ended up at ACHE (Animal Cruelty Heart Line Not-for-profit organization) last year and we became buddies in November 2008 when I adopted him. He has a bone spur in (more…)
Hi, I am Christina and I am 11. I have owned 20 year old “Smokey,” a retired rope and rodeo horse, for almost 3 years. He became mine when I was 9 and needing a safe and reliable horse to work on my english riding skills. Yes, this retired western horse enjoys his new life of “retirement.” He has been on Platinum Performance, which keeps him healthy, shiny and moving more freely given all his years of work, since he became mine. What more can I say? He is my first horse and I love him!
This is our APHA gelding, Mr. Ultimate. He was brought to us in 2006, on the verge of death from an unknown cause. He had massive vet care, biopsies and testing. Nothing was evident, just failure to thrive. I made a deal with my friend that owned the horse: if she was going to put him down, please give him to me, and I would try to nurse him back to health. She did. The day I brought (more…)
I know Robbie Boyce is a trainer. But he is also more, he is a horseman. The unassuming Texas transplant has been a fixture in the NRCHA for quite some time, and has spent time training with some of the best in the business. Now, Robbie is someone that other people want to ride with. His humble manner and great eye make him a perfect training partner. Here he talks about the demands placed on a Reined Cow Horse and how his program gets horses, like Soft N Shiney ready to compete.
Will Simpson is known for attacking the course. Horses that others may describe as hot-blooded, suit Will’s style perfectly. As a student of horsemanship, he is also a fine teacher. Hear about how he prepared for the 2008 Olympic Games and came home with the Gold medal.
